“KAMBO COME DOWN FROM YOUR TREE, KAMBO, KAMBO HEAL ME AND SET ME FREE”
Steven and Chris’s spiritual awakening began over 18 years ago. They both sat in a home circle where they leant about energy work and sitting in the energy and creating energy. Through meditation and devotion they developed together clairvoyantly connecting with loved ones in the spirit world. Steven and Chris are also full time trance mediums and run the health and wellbeing clinic at the Purple Mountain. They have a wealth of knowledge that they hope will inspire the new generation of spirit warriors and workers. Their main healing journey began in 2011 where they created the Purple Mountain, an accumulation of 47 years of circle work and knowledge. Their aim was to create a loving non-judgmental space for people to come and self-heal.
Steven and Chris saw the changing times on the Earth and wanted to further their healing work by integrating with the sacred medicines of the amazon rainforest. They wanted to assist humanity in this time of great spiritual awakening.
Kambo has now been an integral of the spiritual work at the Purple Mountain. It is one of the most beautiful medicines that can help clear distortions, bring clarity and heal fragmentations. The greatest work anyone can do today is to work on themselves and Kambo is one of those medicines that can help with that.
Kambo is an ancient healing practice used by the indigenous people of South America for thousands of years. Kambo also known as ‘Sapo’ is an Amazonian tree frog who live primarily in the tall trees of the beauty amazon rainforest. The relationship between the tribe’s men and women and Kambo is truly unique and special. Sharman’s will sing special songs calling up to the tree frogs. The tree frogs will then jump down to greet the shamans and they then harvested safely. The frogs are usually suspended by four sticks which enables the shamans to extract the special medicine secretion. The special secretion is what we as shamans use during a Kambo treatment. No frogs are harmed during this process and are released back to the forest. This special relationship between nature and humans is truly inspiring.
Kambo Treatment - What Happens?
Kambo is a powerful and natural healing treatment designed to purify and cleanse the cells of toxins and stagnant residual energy within the physical body. Kambo works both physically and spiritually releasing, unblocking and clearing the body from trapped emotions, trauma, pain or even negative energies. During the administration of the Kambo medicine Steven or Chris will burn various gates on either the arm (males) or the leg (females). Kambo is applied to superficial burns on the skin. A small stick is made red hot and just the top layer of skin is removed. You are then to drink 1-2 litres of water during a period of 20 minutes. The water acts itself like a medicine helping to purge and clear the body from toxins during the time of purging. The Kambo is then applied onto the burn and absorbed into the body. The medicine is then placed on the different gate points allowing to work through the lymphatic system entering into every cell of the body. It is aimed that during the purge, clients are able to safely release and let go. Most clients will experience the purging process in different ways either by: being sick, excessive sweating, bowel movements, crying, or having to go to the toilet. This will slowly pass once the medicine has worked through the body. Don’t fight the medicine but rather embrace this wonderful self-healing opportunity and invite Kambo to help heal your mind, body and spirit. Medicine songs, drumming, singing and even rattling maybe used as part of the emotional and physical release process. Remember you are in a safe environment so embrace this time of safety to gently allow Kambo to work on you. Please note Steven or Chris will apply another powerful Amazonian medicine Dragons Blood onto the gates once the ceremony has been completed. This is to ensure further protection and fortification and effective healing of the gates to occur.
Before a Kambo treatment it can be beneficial that we as individuals look inwards to recognise patterns, emotions, traumas or behavioural blocks that prevent us from reaching our innermost intentions and desires. Kambo is known to be helpful for many health conditions but it is not guaranteed help with your specific medical conditions but it can help to empower us to recognise and break free from these blockages and negative energies that stop us living freely, allowing us to reach a state of clarity and deep inner peace. The Spirit of Kambo gives individuals the ability to tap into their own inner strength and wisdom and find the courage to take ownership of their own healing.

During your Treatment
Meditating with the breath is the best preparation for a Kambo ceremony. Breathe and invite the spirit of the medicine into you, exhale and surrender your ego, your weight, your toxicity. Breathe in and soften to the medicine, breathe out and let go. As we release energies, we transform our internal and external lives. Be kind to yourself. Allow yourself to connect with the thoughts and feelings that wish to surface. *Please note that all first time users will be tested for sensitivity before treatments. Your reaction along with my experience, intuition and connection with the spirit of the medicine will determine the eventual number of points you receive. There is no set number – everyone is treated individually.

Kambo is a very physical experience which involves a feeling of heat in the body usually followed by vomiting and sometimes evacuating from the intestines as the body purges toxins from the various organs. The mind is often made quite clear and focused and some say they receive specific messages. Kambo works mostly to purge the body of toxins and what is called “panema” or a heaviness, dullness of body and spirit. The experience with Kambo is very much like getting sick and the energetic and health benefits that many report usually come in the days and weeks that follow.
After a Kambo treatment it can be helpful to protect ourselves by ensuring we set healthy
boundaries, so that we can heal in a more natural holistic manner.
Please be aware that Kambo can highlight the truth around certain life situations and also bring to the surface unprocessed emotions to be released. Therefore, it is very important to allow ourselves some time to go through the process.
It is completely normal to go through a healing process after Kambo. This can include emotional release and being triggered. If after 5 days you are still feeling overwhelmed with emotions then you can contact your practitioner to arrange a courtesy phone call.
It is not advised after Kambo to participate in any other medicines, therapies for at least 48
hours after Kambo, as it is best to give the medicine the space and time for it to work.
Alcohol and recreational drugs are not advised and should be avoided for at least 5 days after
It is important to remember to be mindful who you share your Kambo experiences with. Sometimes loved ones and partners will find it difficult to understand your Kambo experience and often can negatively affect your positive experience. Kambo can be a very personal experience. The integration of any plant medicine experience is fundamentally one of the most important. Kambo will continue working with you for days and even months after your Kambo treatment. Once you have made that connection, it is made for a life time and this is how special Kambo is. Be mindful that you may be trigged by family members, partners and even friends and work colleagues. Try and not react but rather observe situations that arise around you. Stay in the heat centre and always respond in loving kindness. Kambo will bring clarity to your integration but Kambo will also assist you facing your fears, loops and false belief systems. This can sometimes make us feel uncomfortable but is a necessary part of your healing journey. Stay in the moment, surrender and let go. Embrace the lessons with an open heart always.
You will know when you are ready for your next Kambo treatment. Be guided by your own intuition. After your first Kambo session you would have created a special bond with Kambo. Kambo will call you when it is time to receive the medicine again. It is never up to a shaman or spirit healer to tell you when you should or shouldn’t have Kambo.
